Analytics, reports and an activity log that remembers who changed what

What Depotely's analytics and reports show across channels, which reports you can export, and how the activity log records every change down to a single price edit.

Numbers across channels are only useful when they come from the same place. Depotely's analytics, reports and activity log all read from the one order and stock record the rest of the app maintains, so a figure on the dashboard, a line in an export and an entry in the log describe the same event.

Analytics

The analytics page shows sales and stock across every connected channel: revenue and order counts over time, the split per channel, and the products that carry the business. Everything is formatted in the language you use the app in, with the currency and date formats that go with it. Analytics and reports are part of Professional and Enterprise.

Reports

Reports are the exportable side of the same data:

Each report can be filtered and downloaded. Reports come with the same plans as analytics; Essential shows usage and stock figures without the analytics pages.

The activity log

Every meaningful change in your account is recorded automatically: who made it, when, what it was before and what it is after. A price typed into the inventory table, a stock rule edited, a channel connected, a team member's edit: all of it, without anyone having to remember to log it.

Viewing the log is part of Professional and Enterprise; the entries are written on every plan. The log is written only when the change actually went through. A change that was rolled back because of an error leaves no entry, so the log never claims something happened that did not.

Team members in the log

When a colleague works inside your account through a seat, every entry they cause is filed under your account with their identity as the actor. You can see at a glance which person changed which price, and when.

Built to stay fast

Thirty days of activity in a busy account is more than a million entries. The page does not load them all; it reads a per-day index and fetches only the entries that match your filter, and the totals and filter options come from small daily summaries. Opening the activity page costs the same on a quiet day and on the day of a 4,000-product import.

Where it is kept

Entries are written to files, kept locally for thirty days, then compressed and archived in private storage. Fields that could carry credentials are redacted by name before they are written. Logging never gets in the way of the work: if the log cannot be written, the business change still goes through and only the entry is lost.

What to use it for

It is the part of Depotely you hope never to need and are glad to have when you do.
